I know very few will agree with me when I say that it is hard to contend with Gavaskar’s views. Although it’s true India fell short of winning the 2023 ODI World Cup, no one will dispute that until sharply losing to Australia in front of their home crowd in the finals, India was the best team in the tournament.

It is bound to be mentioned in history that Champions Trophy was held in Dubai, which was an ‘undeniable advantage’ for India.
